Whether you arrive in Tooraweenah by road or by air, it’s well worth the visit. It’s proximity to Gilgandra means it’s simple to get to, no matter where you’re coming from.
On your drive, you’ll see plenty of farmland. But if you’re looking for something a little different, stop by Emu Logic and see how things happen on a working Emu farm.
When you get to Tooraweenah, you’ll be greeted by original 20th century buildings and magnificent views of the Warrumbungles. Take it all in as you walk the historic trail through town and then follow the walkway to the GK Rohr Warrumbungle Viewing Platform. Here, you’ll find the Returned Soldier sculpture.
You can also enjoy a view of the Warrumbungles from the Mountain View Hotel. Enjoy a meal, a drink or stay the night.
The Tooraweenah aerodrome welcomes light planes year round. Just let the Tooraweenah Caravan Park know when you’re arriving and they’ll pick you up for a comfortable stay in one of their cabins.
