The Gilgandra Region is simple to get to, no matter where you’re coming from.

You’ll find Gilgandra where the Newell, Oxley and Castlereagh Highways meet. This makes it a great spot to take a break and stay a while (or a night or two) no matter where you’re coming from, or going to.

Car

Gilgandra is accessible by road along the Newell, Oxley and Castlereagh Highways. 

Train & Bus

NSW TrainsLink (XPT) has a daily service between Dubbo and Sydney linking directly with NSW Trains coaches in and out of Gilgandra daily, travelling to and from Dubbo, Lightning Ridge, Walgett and Coonamble.

Air

Gilgandra is 45 minutes north of Dubbo Airport which has daily flights to and from Sydney and Newcastle. Gilgandra has an aerodrome capable of landing the 55 tonne Hercules, making it ideal for charter flights.
