Hitchen House is named after the Hitchen Brothers, William (Bill) and Richard Hitchen who lived in the house at the time they made the decision to start the 1915 Coo-ee March from Gilgandra to Sydney.
Stop by and see the home including the balcony where the decision was made to undertake the march that put Gilgandra on the map. Make sure to spot the mural on the northern side of the building and imagine sitting there planning an over 500km walk!
